교수소개


강효석 교수는 현재 서울대학교 경영대학 및 경영전문대학원에서 전략/국제경영 전공의 부교수로 재직하고 있다. 미국 University of California, Berkeley의 Haas School of Business에서 경영학 박사학위를 취득하였으며, 서울대학교에서 경영학 석사와 경제학 학사 학위를 받았다. 서울대학교에 부임하기 전, 미국 University of Southern California의 Marshall School of Business에서 5년간 조교수로 재직하였다.

2024년 매일경제와 한국경영학자협회(AKMS)가 공동으로 수여하는 젊은경영학자상을 수상하였으며, 논문은 Management Science, Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of International Business Studies, Research Policy, Journal of Economics and Management Strategy 등 국제 탑저널에 게재되었다. 현재 Strategic Management Journal에서 편집위원으로, Strategic Management Society의 Strategic Human Capital 분과에서 Representative-at-Large로 활동하고 있다.

주요 연구 분야는 기술 혁신, 첨단기술과 전략, 인적 자원의 기업 간 및 글로벌 이동과 협업, 비즈니스 법과 정책 등이다. 가격담합과 기술혁신에 관한 연구는 미국 법무부 독점규제국에 초청받아 발표하였으며, 경업금지조항에 대한 연구는 미국 연방거래위원회(FTC)가 2024년부터 연방정부 차원에서 시행하는 정책에 인용 및 반영되었다. 최근에는 AI의 발전이 지식 근로자의 학습과 의사 결정에 어떠한 영향을 미치고, 조직에서 어떻게 AI를 활용하여 의사 결정과 협업, 혁신을 증대시킬 수 있을 지에 대한 연구를 진행하고 있다.
