Alternative Asset Research EM Asia

Alternative investment fund headquartered in NYC is seeking a high caliber intern for its Seoul, South Korea office located in Gwanghwamun. Candidate must be fluent in English and Korean.Mandarin language skills a plus.Finance Business/Economics majors highly preferred but all majors accepted.

Intern responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

l Reviewing annual reports and analyzing financial statements.

l Interviewing management and conducting industry/company research.

l Building and using financial models to support investment theses.

l Performing discounted cash flow and multiple based analyses, preparing investment memos, and all other aspects of company due diligence.

l Prior internship experience within the financial industry is helpful but not required. On the job training will be available and this is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor with an emerging fund.

Desired skills/qualifications:

l Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university with strong academic record of success.

l Highest standards of ethics. Intense reference and background checks will be conducted tomeet this requirement.

l Fluency in either Mandarin and/or Korean required.

l Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with demonstrated aptitude for numbers; Strong Excel skills.

l Collaborative work style.

l Ability to grasp complex concepts quickly, think strategically and provide innovative solutions.

l Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high pressure environment with tight deadlines.

l Solid communication skills both verbal and written.

l Detail oriented, fast learner, self-motivated, independent and works well in teams,exceptionally strong work ethic.
