A global manufacturing firm is seeking a motivated self-starter with a progressive sales experience within the engineering sector to join their team in Korea as the Business Development Manager. The successful candidate will develop both domestic and international commercial leads and manage sales representatives in Korea.

Responsibilities:

• Support the continued development and definition of the growth strategy in Korea
• Build relationships within the civil tunnelling construction industry in Korea
• Create industry awareness of products and expertise, particularly around EBS, bulk emulsion and associated benefits as well as internal understanding of tunnelling industry characteristics, challenges, and key success factors
• Promote offerings at key construction industry forums and conferences
• Coordinate with the technical services team the product support and training resources as necessary to deliver EBS and bulk emulsion product trials and drive market penetration

Requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering; further tertiary qualification in business, economics, finance, or equivalent is a big plus
• 2+ years of drilling and blasting experience with an expert knowledge of civil drilling and blasting operations
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with internal, customer, and regulatory stakeholders
• 6+ years of post graduate experience, ideally with 2+ years of sales or business development experience within either the civil constructions or mining sector
• Strong strategic and commercial acumen supported by sound commercial judgement
