Nomura’s Global Markets Division handles client transactions for financial
institutions, corporates, governments and investment funds around the world. We
act as market makers, trading in fixed income and equity securities and have
taken market-leading positions across the globe by leveraging the strength of our
talent, client relationships and technology.
Sales: Developing and maintaining strong relationships with institutional clients,
including pension funds, hedge funds, insurance companies and other corporate
clients.
Trading: Assisting traders in buying and selling securities in the secondary market
on behalf of clients or the firm; market making and capital commitment.
Structuring: Designing and developing innovative products and strategies for
Nomura's clients. Works with trading to create a risk management strategy for
structured transactions and with sales to create a marketing strategy for our
products.
Research: Collecting, analyzing and assessing industry and company information to
assist the research analysts in providing market insight and investment ideas for
institutional investors and internal clients.
Skills and qualifications
- Bachelors or Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent)
- Minimum Grade: Distinction, 2:2, GPA 3.2 or equivalent
- Enthusiastic, Self-starter, proactive and curious about financial markets
- The ability to perform effectively in a team environment
- Able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
- High personal and professional standards
- Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to new situations
