Senior Market Development Manager - Korea

We are seeking a Senior Market Development Manager for Korea, to join our China and North Asia team. This role will be based in Seoul and located at the New Zealand Embassy.

Working as part of a collective team your role will be to identify and deliver on opportunities for New Zealand education institutions and service providers in line with ENZ’s strategic plan. You will provide constructive and strategic advice, enabling the New Zealand education sector to achieve their goals with Korea. You will draw on your leadership skills and have the ability to build strategic relationships with a range of government partners in Korea and in New Zealand. You will also be responsible for the day to day relationship between New Zealand and Korean education providers, agents and alumni, and ensuring that ENZ events and activities are delivered to the highest standards.

To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter and must have:

• Marketing/sales and business development experience in Korea
• Fluency in Korean and English (oral and written)
• Excellent interpersonal skills including communication and presentation skills
• Experience and understanding of New Zealand and Korea’s education systems
• A tertiary qualification in business development, international relations or relevant discipline
• Experience in intergovernmental relations
• Flexibility to travel within the region and across Korea.

This is a locally-engaged position so you must meet all requirements for legally living and working in Korea.
