Professor Introduction
In Gyun Baek is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at SNU Business School, Seoul National University. He earned his Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and holds B.B.A. and M.S. degrees from Seoul National University. Prior to joining SNU, he served as an Assistant Professor of Accounting at NUS Business School, National University of Singapore.
His research interests encompass management accounting and control systems, knowledge-intensive economies, organizational culture, and corporate governance. His recent work examines organizational design and control issues under evolving work environments.
His work has been published in academic journals including The Accounting Review, Management Science, and the Journal of International Business Studies. He is the recipient of the AAA MAS Outstanding Dissertation Award, as well as the ISAFE Best Paper Award. He actively serves on conference committees and as an ad-hoc reviewer for leading accounting and management journals.
