We would like to invite you to nominate seven outstanding students and/or promote to your relevant students’ cohort to represent Seoul National University and South Korea to participate in the 11th University Scholars Leadership Symposium (USLS) 2023, to be held at the United Nations Conference Center in Bangkok, Thailand – August 1 to 4, 2023.
“Never look down to test the ground before taking your next step; only those who keep their eye fixed on the far horizon will find their right road.”
Dag Hjalmar Agne Carl Hammarskjöld
Former United Nations Secretary General
Recipient of Nobel Peace Prize 1961
The quote from Dag Hammarskjöld, former Secretary-General of United Nations sums up well how we need to remain steadfast in our journey to build a better world. Tumultuous and changing times do not stop the important work you do as educator leaders; inspiring and empowering your students to become socially responsible future leaders. In fact, enhancing the global world view of your students, today’s emerging world leaders, is tomorrow’s hope for a more sustainable, inclusive and humane world.
This is the motivation behind the 11th University Scholars Leadership Symposium (USLS) 2023, to be held at the United Nations Conference Center (UNCC) in Bangkok, Thailand from August 1 to 4, 2023. At Humanitarian Affairs Asia we unlock university students’ potential to contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The USLS is our signature program which fosters young leaders’ initiative and capacity to initiate socially meaningful projects, address issues such as climate change, poverty and inequality. With the collaboration of UN agencies and partner government departments, delegates are empowered to start-up their own projects to directly contribute towards the realization of the UNSDGs. Our Strategic Knowledge Partners include UNEP, UNESCO, UNHCR, UNDRR, UNFPA, UN-WOMEN, IOM, and other UN agencies.
By attending the USLS, your students will ignite the flame of humanity within themselves and other world’s youth and set their hearts ablaze to do their part in realizing a better future.
Please visit our website for more information about the program, speakers and registration fee.
Those accorded priority reservations, are guaranteed the full acceptance of their students and faculty’s participation at the UN. There is also a discounted early bird registration fee. Click here for more information about the fee.
