CS Wind, the World’s No. 1 Wind Tower Manufacturer, Donates 1 Billion Won to the SNU Business School Development Fund

CS Wind (Chairman Seong Gon Gim, SNU AMP 75th) donated one billion won to SNU Business School for funds, including the Distinguished Professor Fund.

Seoul National University held a ceremony to present a plaque of appreciation at the Gwanak Campus on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, which was attended by SNU President Hong-rim Yoo, CEO of CS Wind Seong Gon Gim, CS Wind Managing Director Seung Yun Kim, Professor Emeritus Dong-Kee Rhee and Dean Sang-Hoon Kim at the Business School, and Jun-hwan Lee, Executive Director of the SNU Foundation.

Chairman Seong Gon Gim also introduced his daughter, SNU alumna Seung Yun Gim (SNU EMBA 11th), who serves as the Managing Director at CS Wind and remarked, “I gained recognition in the global market when I started to produce high-quality products by implementing people-centered managing, just as I learned during the AMP courses. I hope the brilliant minds at Seoul National University become world-class leaders who are adventurous and unafraid of challenges and able to shoulder social responsibility.”

The Business School held a naming ceremony after naming the AMP Classroom 121 at Building No. 59 as the “Gim Seong Gon Hall” to express gratitude for the donation. Professor Sang-Hoon Kim, Dean of the Business School, explained the naming of the hall by commenting, “As the 75th Graduate of the SNU AMP, Chairman Seong Gon Gim has made CS Wind a global company through his excellent insight and decision-making. He is the best role model for the AMP as a wonderful contributor to the AMP Alumni Association.”

Donors to the SNU Business School Development Fund receive a plaque of appreciation, and other benefits, including invitations to various campus events and access to university facilities.
