SNU Business School Hosts Event in Commemoration of Its 50th Anniversary
SNU Business School hosted an event commemorating its 50th anniversary on Saturday, November 15, at the SUPEX Hall, Building No. 58. The event traced the Business School's historic footsteps and shared its vision and core values for the next 50 years, highlighting its continued leadership in business education in Korea.

The event began with a welcoming address from the dean and a commemorative address from the president of Seoul National University, followed by congratulatory remarks from the president of the SNU College of Commerce Alumni Association. The video screening commemorating the 50th anniversary chronicled the journey from the establishment of the College of Commerce in Jongam-dong in 1946 to the establishment of the independent College of Business Administration at the Gwanak Campus in 1975, providing a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the Business School's growth.
SNU Business School has strengthened its global educational network by becoming the first in Korea to be accredited by AACSB and by participating in the BEST Alliance and GNAM (Global Network for Advanced Management). It has also expanded its innovative ecosystem by launching the Entrepreneurship Center and offering the Business Administration in Entrepreneurship program. During the event, key figures who have contributed to the Business School's advancement were presented with certificates of merit, and the Industry Advisory Board also shared its vision.
In the “Presentation on the Future Vision of the Business School,” the main goals for the next 50 years were presented as “people-centered innovation” and “fostering global leaders,” both grounded in five core values—Creative, Challenge, Responsibility, Global, and Leadership.
Held under the slogan “Building 50 Years Together, Opening the Next 50 Years Together,” the commemorative event concluded with a banquet in the lobby of Building No. 59 and a photo session. Faculty, alumni, students, and industry representatives gathered to celebrate the bright future of the Business School.
