2024 Business School Family Welcome Event for Incoming Undergraduate Students
The “2024 Business School Family Welcome Event for Incoming Undergraduate Students” was held on Saturday, October 5, at 10 am the SUPEX Hall, Building No. 58. The event, attended by approximately 100 first-year undergraduate students and their families, commenced with opening remarks from Professor Joon Chae, Dean of the Business School, and Professor Byungjoon Yoo, Vice Dean of Student Affairs.
Dean Joon Chae’s “Introduction to the Business School’s Vision” that followed was a meaningful time to reflect together on the kind of education the Business School and our students should aspire to.
Next, special lectures were given by distinguished alumni of the Business School, Hyung-sik Chang, CEO of H Music Entertainment (Class of ‘97), and Jun-yong Lee (Class of ‘87), CEO of Mirae Asset Global Investments.
Afterward, the Deans led the “Conversation with the Professors (Q&A)” session, and the 38th Business School Student Council [Deungdae] introduced the “Campus Life of Seoul National University Students,” which provided an opportunity to inquire about and look into the daily lives of Business School students.
The last session of the morning event was presented by Dean Joon Chae under the theme of “Introducing the Fundraising Campaign for Safety Reinforcement Construction of the SK Business Hall, Building No. 58” with the hope that the love of families that support the Business School will come together as one.
The main event concluded with a campus tour after lunch, providing students with an opportunity to instill pride as Business School students and families with a chance to explore their children’s academic environment and create cherished memories.
