Career Networking Event Hosted by Venture Management Entrepreneurship Center and the Venture Management Interdisciplinary Major Program
On May 10, the “Career Networking” event took place at the Venture Management Entrepreneurship Center on the 5th floor of Building 59-1, Seoul National University Business School. Co-hosted by the Venture Management Entrepreneurship Center and Mashup Angels, this event was highly anticipated among students as it was the first career networking event after the COVID-19 pandemic. It was Mashup Angels that first proposed to host this event. The event was well-received, with seven startup experts invited as mentors to provide advice on startup employment opportunities, entrepreneurship, and careers as VC/investment analysts to suit the diverse academic backgrounds of the students at the venture management interdisciplinary major program. Students also had the opportunity to chat with current employees.
The mentoring session was followed by a second session, held with the support of Mashup Angels. Despite the late hour, many students enthusiastically participated as they shared their concerns about their careers and socialized. Participating students remarked, “Thank you for hosting such a helpful and meaningful event. Many of the mentee students were passionate and interested in various fields, but I couldn’t talk to them all because of the time limit.” “As an aspiring entrepreneur, this was a valuable opportunity to meet and converse with the experts I have always wanted to meet in person.”
