Chang Hyun-Guk, CEO of Wemade, Donates One Billion Won to the Development Fund

  On July 28 last year, Chang Hyun-Guk, CEO of Wemade, visited Seoul National University Business School to sign an agreement to donate one billion KRW workth of WEMIX, a virtual currency. Professor Lee Kyoungmi, Kim Sang-Hoon, Dean of SNU Business School, Chang Hyun-Guk, CEO of Wemade, and Professor Lee Jongsub attended the signing. 

  The signing ceremony was held at the Seoul National University President's Office in Gwanak Campus on September 5. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Chang Hyun-Guk, CEO of Wemade, President Oh Se-jung, and Dean Kim Sang-Hoon of SNU Business School. Through this agreement, Wemade donates one billion KRW worth of WEMIX to SNU Business School for the "SNUbiz Enreperneurship Fund." The fund will provide the Business School students with educational opportunities and support for starting new businesses. 


  Mr. Chang commented, "I hope Seoul National University uses this fund to foster trailblazing world leaders and start new busineses." He added, "I will continue devising and implementing long-term and sustainable measures for fostering future talents."

  President Oh Se-jung of Seoul National University remarked, "CEO Chang Hyun-Guk, an alumnus, has made Wemade a global company based on the core values of 'growth, responbility, and achievement." He also fulfuls his social responsibility by leading a corporate culture of sharing. His generous donation will encourage student entrepreneurship and foster more passionate and innovative CEOs."

  The campaign to collect 10 billion KRW for the SNUbiz Entrepreneurship Fund is currently on track. The fund will be used as seed money for promising venture companies through a selection procedure run by a deliberation committee of on- and off-campus experts.
