First Welcoming Remarks from Dean Joon Chae

Greetings to esteemed alumni and all members of the Business School!
My name is Joon Chae, and I will be serving as the Dean of the Seoul National University Business School from January 23.

The campus, which was cold and quiet during the winter, begins to be dotted with green in March in anticipation of spring.
Embracing this vibrant energy, the Business School also begins the year 2024 with vigor together with the new students who have joined the school.

A “world-class business education institute to develop creative, challenging, and socially responsible global leaders.”
This is the vision of the Seoul National University Business School.
This is a vision that the former Deans have endeavored to realize and sheds light on our future path. I also vow to work tirelessly during my two-year term to realize this vision. However, realizing this vision is not a task I can take alone. Therefore, I would like to ask for the cooperation of all members of the Business School, including our alumni.

With the help from our alumni members, who have shown much interest and provided generous support for our students who will advance into society and the professors who dedicate themselves to their lectures and research, as well as cooperation from all members of the Business School, we will be able to take one great step closer to making our vision a reality.

In 2024, we will continue to share Business School events and alumni news through the SNUbiz Newsletter. If we can communicate and find common ground through the news, it will be a great foundation for the future of the SNU Business School.

As we await helping hands, whether big or small, to support us in realizing our vision for the future of the SNU Business School, I sincerely hope this year will be healthy and fruitful for you all.
