Institute of Industrial Relations

History and Mission

The Institute of Industrial Relations was founded in March of 1989 with a view to contribute to peaceful business relations and business growth. The center achieves this through the development of theories of labor management relations and human resources applicable to the real world of Korea's businesses. Since problems of labor management relations and personnel resources are the subject of research in many fields, the Center focuses not only on management but conducts collaborative research with such other disciplines as labor economics, labor law, industrial sociology, and industrial psychology.
